Graphics cards: beautiful picture postcards can be found here
Looking for graphics cards? Well, when you think of graphs, you think more of mathematical graphs, such as lines that measure something, that make numbers and contents visible, visually, not art.
Yet this genre has evolved into art. Graphics involve all kinds of painting or drawing. Originally graphics were intended to be functional, not to be art. Fortunately, this term is more of a collective name and provides beautiful art. Classic and modern, by old and new artists, famous and lesser-known.

Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman
A painter from the late 19th century and early 20th century, Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman, had a huge amount of art to his name. He made posters, invitations, and he even founded an art magazine with his colleagues. There is a lot of work by this artist in the Stedelijk Museum. His artworks are very varied. What stands out is the aspect of the colors, it draws attention to the eye. There is also plenty of variation, the number of images by this painter is in the thousands, very unique.
The painting with the theme "girl" is about the silhouette of a girl against the colorful background. There are two males with a dog each, they wear the same color hat, also the colors of the bodies and dogs are different. There are several paintings of which are compositions of figures. Figures without faces, limbs, it's all about the essence. You see more realistic figures in the painting entitled: "the story on the market". You can see figures with a ponytail, hat on, etc.
A painting is striking. In the foreground you see a person sitting cross-legged, because of the position and the colors it looks like a large flower. There is more nature in Werkman's collection. One-piece with two trees next to each other, one with green branches and the other with blue, titled "Ballad of the Two". Or an image of a man with a cap and two birds flying just above him. Perhaps a pigeon breeder? The pigeons are colored. The picture is finished with the green branches on the side.
There is also a religious aspect to Werkman, like the sailing boat on the lake in the storm. Both the waves and the flag on the boat show that there is a storm. Also a piece with a biblical element of 3 patriarchs. There is much more to say and see about the work of this painter. Like the return, the journey to Berlin, but also the poster with "P. Robinson sings ". So you can spend a lot of your time looking at his work!
More artists
Artist, Julie de Gaag, has made various black and white pictures with animals. It is quite striking the animal is white and the background black, usually this is the other way around. These images include a white owl, a cat, and two rabbits. This type of representation has been applied to paintings of trees. Nevertheless, de Gaag also created very classic Dutch scenes, like the houses between the trees. There are also some paintings using color by this artist, such as those of the geraniums, viewed from above in a circle.
Also to be a recognized artist in this category, Eddy Varenkamp. One piece of his work consists of a black card with a white giraffe, with the signature giraffe markings. The giraffe has a cloth in its mouth with a baby in it, just like a stork. Also, there is an image of animals from the jungle, in Delft blue, with a white background. Another piece of work is a similar card, with a white elephant in a red background.
Created by Pieter Goos - A marine atlas. This is a truly unique card. More work has been created by Jan Cremer, for example, there's a card with a typical Dutch landscape. Complete with tulips, cows, grassland, and water. There are more cards by this painter, depicting Dutch landscapes.
