Who doesn't want to send an original (Christmas) card? The collection of angel cards contains many types of angels which provide inspiration for everyone. You see angels in combination with children, with air and clouds, or with animals. Anything is possible. You see the pictures drawn or painted, certain images even appear to be photographed. 

Some images are light with a humorous sense, others are serious, a High-Church style. Angels are represented everywhere: sometimes they hang or hover, sometimes you just see just one angel, and sometimes a whole group. Or you see them in heaven or on earth. You'll find your perfect angel card for every occasion.

A great card to send for Christmas is the one with a snowman with wings of Christmas branches. And then you have the cards with the (sometimes flying) angels who decorate the Christmas tree. Sometimes the angels look like people, like children, but we also see angels who are more like heavenly beings.

Art lovers will really appreciate the real painted angels or the ones in glass and lead: these cards are a nice addition to the interior during the holidays.

Rie Cramer has produced especially unique cards of angels with a beautiful and unique combination of colors. Captures worth mentioning are 'the white angels' and 'the dark night and the golden stars'. The scenery on her cards are always different, but the color combinations always match. And she really knows how to make humorous cards with a funny contrast, like the cat with wings that looks like an angel.

Another example is a card with a chubby dreamy looking angel (like a picture of a child). She supports her head with her wings and hands.

Music and angels are a well-known and appreciated combination as well, especially during the holidays. That's why there are postcards with angels that play an instrument. Who doesn't like them? They are really atmospheric.

There are so many choices: angels in the shadow, Christmas trees, children, all shown in a nostalgic way.

A very unique one is from an angel with rainbow-colored wings, painted by Anja da Silva. With the gold frame, this is really a symbol of hope.

All emotions are represented, such as hope even in fearful times, like the picture with the angels with golden wings. The angel looks fearful but gives and represents hope as well, because of her beautiful golden wings.

It’s a welcome change to see a bit of the fearful emotion between the hopeful and serene angels because it shows the depth of life with all its emotions and phases. The simplicity of this image can be the power of such cards. The 'basic' character can be the unique underline and can be very original between the other colored cards.

These cards prove that postcards with angels are not necessarily dull and old-fashioned, or merely bound to religion. The opposite is true. Both classical and modern, multicolored or simple in black and white, nostalgic or futuristic: it is all available. 

Occasions

These cards are suitable for many occasions. It might remind you of the Christmas and New Year cards. But they are also for a general greeting, a birthday card, or a Valentine's card.

Children will appreciate angel cards as well.  And given the nostalgic character:  adults too, especially the elderly.

There are cards that are suitable as birthday cards, especially when they are funny and lively. A heart-to-heart in certain situations can be helped by a beautiful angel card too, for example with the one with the dreamy angel.

Angel cards are very suitable as encouragement because they are the symbol of hope and expectation. They are suitable as condolence cards too.
