Birth announcements
Every birth is unique, even if it is the umpteenth scion in the line, a birth announcement marks the uniqueness of every person. Plus, it can be a great way to reconnect with people you've lost touch with. There are very original birth announcements, very diverse too. A very classic one is that of a stork, complete with egg, very clear!
That clarity is especially true for a card with a traffic sign, a triangle with a red border, with a black picture of a pram. This is a humorous and light-hearted card that is sure to stand out.
One that really depicts an endearing scene is by Jan Sluijters, of a children's bedroom, with a cot, which is surrounded by warm colours. The plate dates from 1910, it is old, but certainly not old-fashioned. Another classic is a black and white photo of a midwife in training holding a baby. The uniform is particularly characteristic.
There are even more modern cards, such as one with a picture of only two baby feet, very cute, or cards with rusk with blue or pink mice. Also a somewhat contemporary card is a father bottle feeding a baby and making a phone call at the same time. Then there are foreign cards, from other parts of the world, with, for example, a baby resting in a hammock, a giraffe with a bundle with a baby in its mouth and much more.
Wedding
Art Unlimited has more than enough to choose from for cohabitation, marriage and wedding anniversaries. Photos of the wedding of Willem-Alexander and Maxima, for example, a very classic, there are several of them, both of the kiss, the tears, but also one complete with the family. But there is even more originality, such as a photo of René Jacobs with a very old-fashioned wedding couple.
A card with all four-leaf clovers, great for a wedding, but just as good for living together or an anniversary. One for both cohabitation and marriage is a cluttered car, a duck, with all kinds of household goods, a moving duck. There is also a car with a plate under the rear window wiper, with 'hurrah, living together'.
There are two cards by Paul Baars, one with two men, one with two women, both as figures on the wedding cake, so also very innovative for marriages between people of the same sex.
More classic is the picture of Francis Lake, a wedding boat photographed from above. A characteristic plate by Eddy Varekamp, white shapes in Delft blue, with the theme 'marrying in the jungle'. That is a real unique card, which is suitable for many people.
If you're looking for a real painting, Charlotte Salomon's card with a wedding couple is in black and white, the background is in color. A beautiful unique photo of a wedding couple on the beach, the man stands in the water and carries the bride over the water. A heart of red flowers, a card with a color drawing of animals that marry, plenty of variation. There is much more, so check them all out and be inspired to make the right choice.
Condolence
Death is part of life. For example, there is a card of a sparrow, one with a flying sparrow and one with a stationary sparrow. A black sparrow with a white background, which makes the contrast so great.
There are other cards suitable for condolence, although they are not official. Such as the typical autumn cards with the falling leaves and the setting sun, or just cards with flowers, these can also be suitable.
Christmas (and/or new year)
When it comes to Christmas there is an abundance of cards. You have never seen so many different ones. Classic cards with churches and/or angels, the Christmas scene in the stable, candles, etc. But also cards with children in the snow, with a Christmas tree, or a family inside at the Christmas tree. Santa Claus should also not be missed, there are also many cards of this. There are also cards with snowmen in the most original circumstances, e.g. watching the sunset, with their arms wrapped around each other.
It is also original to wish someone a happy new year with a card with a four-leaf clover, in the snow between the falling snowflakes. Or with a green card with a dove, complete with a peace twig. What makes it extra special is that the pigeon is also green, only surrounded by white lines.
The paintings of Marc Chagall should not be missing from this list, with, for example, a heaven with angels. This painter is famous for the religious works he created. Or just an image of the classic sleeve twig, the green around it and the red in the middle, it is the simplicity that is the strength of this card.
Birthdays
There is a whole variety of these cards suitable for birthdays. From the youngest to the oldest. Suitable cards for children's birthdays include those of Cornelis Jetses, both with children and with animals. Or just a bunch of balloons on a bicycle,
A very funny card is that of a birthday cake, complete with candles, which the house cat is snacking on, there are many more cards with birthday cakes or pastries. Cards from Theo and Thea, the corny duo from the eighties of the last century, including with party hats on. There are also plenty of pictures with flowers in all kinds and colors, butterflies, etc. that are also suitable for festive occasions. Just like cards with cocktails, tuxedos and other symbols that refer to festivities.
Then there is more than enough for other occasions, such as the marking of the seasons, such as other holidays or life events. Art Unlimited has it all.
